Quartz HD

Quartz HD Care & Cleaning Guidelines

Quartz HD is a durable, non-porous surface that requires minimal maintenance to keep it looking its best. With proper care, it will maintain its beauty and performance for years to come.

Daily Cleaning

For routine maintenance, simply wipe the surfaces with a damp cloth or paper towel and a pH-neutral cleaner formulated for natural stone. Avoid using soaps that may leave behind a greasy film, which can create a sticky or hazy appearance.

Spills & Stains

  • Immediate Spill Cleanup: Clean up spills as soon as possible, before they dry. Use a nonabrasive cleaning pad and a pH-neutral cleaner. Denatured alcohol may be used for tougher residue.
  • Stubborn Stains or Dried Spills: A general multi-purpose cleaner or mild detergent may be safely used, followed by a thorough rinse with clean water to remove any residue. A nonabrasive scrub sponge can also be used without damaging the surface.
  • Cooking Grease: Use a suitable degreasing cleaner. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and rinse the surface thoroughly after cleaning.
  • Permanent Markers: If permanent ink contacts the surface, clean with a pH-neutral cleaner. If needed, use a citrus-based adhesive remover, then rinse thoroughly with water.
  • Important: Never allow cleaning products to dry on the surface. Always rinse thoroughly after use.
  • Warning: Always read product instructions to confirm it is safe for Quartz HD before using.

Dust & Dry Debris

Use a clean microfiber cloth, either dry or damp, to sweep away dust and dirt. Avoid lint-heavy cloths. For dry mopping large areas, an antistatic-treated dust mop may be helpful.

Periodic Deep Cleaning

For surfaces subject to heavy use, periodic cleaning with a more intensive, yet pH-neutral, cleanser is recommended once per month. This helps maintain the material’s gloss and cleanliness. When using commercial cleaning equipment, use soft pads or brushes and avoid wax strippers or harsh chemicals.

Sustainability

Quartz HD is manufactured in collaboration with trusted suppliers who prioritize sustainable practices. Many of our surface offerings are developed to support greener, environmentally responsible design.

Actions To Avoid

If any of the following substances come into contact with your Quartz HD surface, rinse the exposed area immediately and thoroughly with water:

Do not expose Quartz HD to:

  • Abrasive cleansers or harsh scrub pads
  • Strong alkaline or acidic cleaners
  • Free radicals, oxidizers, or corrosive chemicals (including those with high, neutral, or low pH)
  • Paint removers or furniture strippers containing trichloroethane or methylene chloride
  • Acetone, which can leave a film and damage resins—use denatured alcohol instead if needed
  • Cleaners containing bleach, oven cleaners, or those with pumice or abrasive agents
  • Products like Soft Scrub® with bleach, Comet®, SOS®, silver or tarnish cleaners, or similar
  • Any sealers, waxes, or topical treatments—Quartz HD does not require them, and they may dull or damage the finish

Additional Considerations

  • Heat: Quartz HD is not heat proof. Do not place hot skillets, pots, or pans directly on the surface. Always use trivets or hot pads to prevent thermal shock and surface damage.
  • Impact: Though highly durable, Quartz HD is not chip proof. Especially around sinks and dishwashers—are vulnerable to impact. Use care when handling heavy or sharp objects near the surface.
  • Scratching: Quartz HD is scratch-resistant but not scratch-proof. Always use cutting boards to protect the surfaces and maintain the finish.
  • Seams: Quartz HD is not seamless. Where seams are present, slight variation in pattern and tone may occur.
  • Natural Variation: Subtle differences in color, pattern, and tone are natural characteristics of Quartz HD. Samples represent only a portion of the full slab and may not fully capture the installed appearance.
  • Finish: Quartz HD surface maintains its luster without the need for sealants. It is a non-porous surface. No polishing is necessary.
